The gypsum blocks are fundamentally used to make the interior walls of dwellings, and any other interior divisions in buildings. Also, they are commonly used as support for placing tiles, boards, and other objects of this type.

The gypsum blocks that we make are rectangular sheets of gypsum, that have tongue and groove joints, with these dimensions 50 x 66.6 cm. ( height x length ). This sheet is made with the following thicknesses.

  - Thickness of 4 cm. : It is used for making the rooms of dwellings and wall panels.

  - Thickness of 6 cm. : It is used for making the rooms of dwellings, and when combined with the 7 cm. thickness sheet, it is used to make the separations between dwellings.  It’s the most all-purpose thickness and most utilized.

  - Thickness of 7 cm. : It is used in the same places as the 6 cm. sheet, and in addition, to make the divisions of bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. In combination with the 6 cm. sheet, it is used to make the separations between dwellings.

- Thickness of 6 cm. + insulation of 4.5 cm. + thickness of 7 cm.: in only a total thickness of 17,50 cm., we achieve a sound proofing of 57 dbA in a standardized chamber.  This constructive system, is specially indicated to be able to comply, without problem, when sound proofing in SITU of 45 and 50 dbA. is needed, assuring that in all moments the fulfilment of the DB-HR of protection against noise, currently enforced since April 2009.

  - Thickness of 8 cm. : Is used less than the before mentioned thicknesses, and is used for making some divisions of the building, such as a storage room and common areas.  It is also used when the improvement of the sound proofing is wanted in constructive systems of only one wall.

  - Thickness of 10 cm. : Is the thickness least utilized, and is employed when separations and special insulations are needed.

We also make WATER REPELLENT GYPSUM BLOCKS ( or waterproof gypsum blocks ), that do not absorb water or humidity.  We make them with thicknesses of 4 cm., 6 cm., 7 cm., and 8 cm., and they are utilized in the humid areas of buildings (basements, bathrooms, and kitchens).

They can even be mounted in flooded areas where water does not represent any problems, the first row is made with water repellent blocks so that the water does not rise to the upper part, and the rest is normal, or, for a complete insulation from water and humidity, the faces of the wall are made entirely of water repellent blocks.

The FUNDAMENTAL ADVANTAGES of our solid gypsum blocks in respect to other products, are the following:

  - Technical characteristics much above the requirements of the CTE, as much in soundproofing as in fire resistance.
  - Assurance that it will comply in every moment with what is established in the Código Técnico de Edificación, and with the latest changes applied in April of 2009.

What’s more:

  - Mounting them is fast and easy
  - The sheets are trapezoidal tongue and groove jointed, which creates a precise and secure alignment, leaving the sheets linked on all four sides.
  - The waste created in the mounting is minimal, which supposes that there are fewer materials used.
  - The gypsum blocks do not need a plaster coating on the backside.
  - Once the rough spots are covered up, the gypsum blocks are completely finished and are ready for painting.
  - It’s economical and considerably improves the quality of the construction without raising the costs.
